Lies Lucas is a passionate and dedicated sustainability expert at Longevity Partners Netherlands, an impactful and fast-growing Sustainability and Energy advisory firm in Amsterdam aiming to decarbonise the built environment and drive ESG in the property sector. Lies believes strongly that the climate crisis cannot be mitigated without rapid and widescale action from the property sector. She has contributed to numerous green initiatives and projects promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in the Dutch real estate market.
At Longevity Partners Netherlands, Lies has been instrumental in the development of sustainability strategies and the green certification of buildings. Aged 26, she has risen to the rank of Certification Lead, where she recently lead the firm as they helped assess the world’s largest residential green building certification achieved in one go – and officially the largest BREEAM-certified real estate portfolio in the world.

In 2022, the team delivered 630 BREEAM certificates, helping to map the sustainability performance of almost all 27,500 homes in the Vesteda portfolio.
This is the world’s largest residential certification achieved in one go, and officially the largest BREEAM-certified real estate portfolio in the world. Thanks to her dedication and deep expertise, Lies Lucas was able to successfully act as BREEAM lead for Longevity Partners across the delivery of this monumental and historic sustainability achievement.
