General Description

Born in 2017 in Valencia, Spain, the CrowdFarming model aims to radically change the relationship between producers and consumers. CrowdFarming’s farm-to-fork approach enables consumers to adopt a tree, animal or patch of land, and in exchange receive its harvest or production directly at home without intermediaries.

Thanks to CrowdFarming, farmers can decide the price of their produce, predict future revenues and reduce their costs, receive feedback directly from consumers, and access a new sales channel across more than 30 countries free of charge.

As a consumer, you receive fresh products straight to your door, you access an unmatched level of transparency, you start a relationship with a Farmer, and get to decide on the social and environmental impact of your purchases.

More than 220 Farmers from 10 different countries are selling their harvests on-demand to more than 400,000 consumers thanks to CrowdFarming.

Sustainability Impact

The traditional food supply chain is broken: farmers have been producing as much as they could using pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides without much concern about the environment. To add insult to injury, ⅓ of all food production goes to waste according to the FAO.

At CrowdFarming we promote sustainable agricultural practices like organic farming. We also help farmers obtain fair prices and reduce food waste thanks to on-demand production and harvesting. This way, CrowdFarming promotes quality jobs in rural areas thanks to the fair prices of the platform. On average, producers on CrowdFarming earn 30% more compared to the traditional supply chain.

Emissions-wise, our food supply chain is shorter, thus eliminating the need for polluting industrial refrigerators and fungicides. We coordinate routes and shipping dates across all farmers to reduce CO2 emissions. Our farm-to-fork approach comes with the strict minimum packaging and reduces plastics usage.
