General Description

The lyophilized mask highlights an environmentally friendly design, with a 100% biodegradable and 24% lighter mask cloth, which can carry more essence due to the greater surface tension of the Tencel fibers. We select functional plant extracts such as Taiwan’s unique Formosa Ruby® Djulis and Nantou’s pineapple in the mask formula.

The clinical tests proved that 4 weeks usage of Formosa Ruby essence can boost skin collagen content by 12.6%. In addition, TCI uses pineapple peel extraction to obtain effective substances that can dramatically reduce intracellular oxidative stress by 55%, reduce melanin accumulation by 12%, instantly tighten pores by 10.3%, and increase moisture by 20.3% after 15 minutes of use. Most importantly, the finished essence is vacuumed at -50℃ by freeze-drying, and then brought back to room temperature to quickly remove moisture so that the cloth can carry the concentrated essence. The high concentration of vitamin C can be freeze-dried to increase stability.

Sustainability Impact

The most important revolution for a green package design was to use paper bags that can enter the paper recycling system as packaging. Finally, all these processes are carried out in our green energy factories. It solved the problem that sheet masks’ foil bags are multi-layers therefore it can’t be recycled.

TCI is committed to environmental protection from the inside out, starting with the basic effective substances. We find that the extracts in wasted peels or tangerine unripe fruits that are often eliminated contain more effective substances than ordinary plant extracts, so we choose these sources for the inner materials that can to enhance the Economic Value Added (EVA) of crops and recycling. We also use 100% natural fiber and biodegradable fabric for our mask sheets, and we choose the most environmentally friendly raw materials.
